Terms and conditions

Things Workshop is for exploring and understanding how things work.

Educational use

Models are simplified explanations. Read the assumptions and sources for each lesson. Workshop models marked draft or preview may be incomplete and have not passed publication review. Availability does not mean scientific certification, human specialist approval or safety validation. Models are not manufacturing drawings, a guarantee of real-world performance, or a substitute for qualified engineering, medical or other professional advice. Don’t use an animation alone to decide how to build, repair or operate equipment, diagnose a condition or choose a treatment.

Sharing and attribution

You may link to our pages and share animations downloaded through the site with their Things Workshop watermark intact. Third-party source material remains subject to its own rights and licences. For other reuse, including republishing model assets or adapting site content, contact us.

Responsible access

Use the site lawfully. Don’t disrupt its operation, attempt unauthorised access, or submit harmful content or someone else’s private information through contact channels.

Availability and corrections

The site and its explanations may change as we improve them. We cannot promise uninterrupted access or that every explanation is free of errors. Please report problems so we can investigate. Nothing here is intended to remove rights or protections that applicable law gives you.

Local storage and external sources

Your notebook is stored on your device; keep your own record of anything important. External references have their own terms and privacy policies. Our privacy policy explains site storage and optional analytics. Privacy policy.
