Privacy policy
You can explore Things Workshop without an account. Here’s what happens to your information.
Who operates this site
Things Workshop is an independent educational website. This notice describes this website’s own processing. External sources and service providers have their own policies. Operator and contact information is provided through the contact page when available.
Your notebook and preferences
Your saved lesson IDs (things-notebook) and chosen language (things-language) are stored locally in your browser, not synced to an account. Your analytics choice and the time you made it (things-privacy-v1) are stored for up to 180 days. A successful contact-form submission may store a timestamp in this tab’s session storage (things-contact-receipt); the confirmation expires after one hour. Clearing this site’s browser data removes these local records. If browser storage is blocked, you can still explore the models.
Optional analytics
With your permission, Google Analytics helps us understand visits and which explanations are useful. It can process page visits, browser and device information, approximate location and cookie identifiers. We do not enable Google advertising signals in our site code.
Google’s analytics tag is blocked until you allow analytics. You can reject it and keep using every model. To change your choice or withdraw consent, use Cookie settings in the footer. Analytics cookies set by this site are removed when you reject them.
Google processes information under its own privacy policy. Provider processing may take place in countries other than your own. Privacy policy.
Hosting and messages
Vercel hosts the site and processes requests needed to deliver pages and files, including technical request information. Privacy policy.
If you email us, your email provider and our receiving email provider process the message. We use the details you send to handle your request. The website has no account database or server-side notebook. Browser preferences remain until cleared, except for the consent and confirmation limits above. Our analytics configuration requests a cookie lifetime of up to 180 days; Google’s event-data retention is separate and depends on the Analytics property settings. Any correspondence is handled through the configured contact provider or email service and is subject to that service’s retention and applicable obligations.
Your choices and requests
You can clear local site data, reject analytics, and contact the operator about access, correction or deletion of personal information. Available rights and complaint routes depend on where you live. We may need to verify a request before acting on it.
